Our middle-school-level studio is in development as our elementary-level learners age up and show they are ready for a more independent studio experience. Moving up to the Middle School Studio is less about academics, as academic challenges are readily available in the elementary studio, and more about being able to navigate complicated projects and discussions independently. Middle School learners need to have strong skills in community building and management.
A ten-year-old learner could work on calculus in the elementary studio, but that doesn't mean he/she is emotionally ready or has the self-direction to be able to navigate a middle school studio successfully.
